Placement will be made during the first week of classes.

Performance Workshop participants will perform in a full-length concert with professional dancers.The Performance Intensive Workshop is from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, six days per week for five weeks.

Classes in ballet technique, together with either jazz, character, modern or pilates will be included. Additional classes in pointe technique and variations will also be included in higher levels.
Dance enrichment sessions of the workshops will include: question-and-answer sessions with professional dancers, technical theater production, video critique of historic ballet performances, plus discussions on resume, make-up and audition skills.

In the Performance Intensive Workshop, you will learn what it is to be a member of a Corps de Ballet dancing with some of the finest professional dancers in the world.


Acceptance and placement for the Performance Intensive Workshop and the Advanced Weekly Workshops will depend upon the level of the student as determined by the audition.

Out-of-town students may audition by video (see below) or by a placement class during our regular class schedule before June 1, 2013 (but classes are limited).  Please include $20 fee.

Out-of-Town Video Auditions

Out-of-town students must submit a complete application with headshot, application fee and one letter of recommendation from your current dance instructor. Deadline for the video is TBA. The video should be no longer than three minutes and include the following:
– Full-face video introduction, including your name and age.
– You should be the only one appearing on the video.
– Any classical variation best suited for the dancer; and/or
– A series of classroom exercises including adagio, petite allegro, and grande allegro.  Please include  échappés and pirouettes en pointe, and grande jetés.

Performance Level Weekly Advanced Intensive Workshops

Monday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Tuition: $325/ week

A limited number of non-performance, intensive training workshop positions may be available to student dancers on a per-week basis. You may sign up for 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks; however, you still must audition and be approved by the School Director. You will receive the same instruction and interaction with the professional dance instructors throughout the weekly workshops as you would in the performance workshops. Placement is by audition only.
