2024 College Dance Fair a stunning success!
Over Labor Day weekend last month, Boca Ballet Theatre hosted the 2024 College Dance Fair, which welcomed 78 dancers from across the country to meet and take master classes with faculty and directors from nine of the nation’s elite college dance programs. It was a busy weekend for junior and senior high school students and their parents, who learned how to navigate college dance programs through faculty-led information sessions and one-on-one conversations with representatives from each college dance program.
Since its inception in 2012, College Dance Fair has grown from a small program to one of the most in-demand opportunities for high school students interested in pursuing a degree in dance. This year, College Dance Fair sold out in less two weeks without any advertising, and it accrued a significant waiting list of dancers eager to participate! The success of this program is a testament to its value in all that it offers, including significant interactions with the country’s top dance programs.
This year’s participating colleges included The Ailey School, Butler University, Florida State University, Marymount Manhattan College, Point Park University, University of Arizona, University of North Carolina, University of Oklahoma, and University of Utah. College Dance Fair is proud to have partnered with these programs, which offer young dancers an environment where they can hone their dance technique and professionalize themselves with opportunities that prepare them for a future career in the performing arts.
There is not doubt that dancers recognize the value of College Dance Fair, and Boca Ballet Theatre continues to take pride in providing this service to the next generation of professional dancers!
Looking ahead to 2025
Boca Ballet Theatre is looking forward to hosting the next College Dance Fair from August 30 to September 1, 2025. We are currently finalizing the college dance programs to be featured in next year’s program, but stay tuned for an announcement in the near future. Dancers can anticipate registration opening in early January. We hope to see you in Boca Raton next year!
