BBT Announces Guest Artists for The Sleeping Beauty
Boca Ballet Theatre is pleased to share that our upcoming production of The Sleeping Beauty will feature two stars of the professional ballet world! American Ballet Theatre principal Devon Teuscher and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens principal Roddy Doble will take the stage as Aurora and Prince Desiré this July!
Devon Teuscher will return to the BBT stage for the first time since her performance as the Sugar Plum Fairy in our 2014 production of The Nutcracker! She trained at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School on full scholarship before joining the ABT Studio Company in 2006. She joined American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in 2007 and then as a corps de ballet dancer in 2008. She became a Soloist in 2014 before attaining the rank of Principal Dancer in September of 2017. Her repertoire with the Company includes Polyhymnia in Apollo, Nikiya in La Bayadère, the title role in Firebird, and Myrta in Giselle, amongst many others.
Roddy Doble also returns to the BBT stage for the first time since his performance the Cavalier in our 2011 production of The Nutcracker! Roddy trained at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School from 2005-2006 before joining American Ballet Theatre II in 2007 and American Ballet Theatre’s corps de ballet in 2008. After joining the Boston Ballet’s corps de ballet in 2013, he rose to the rank of Soloist in 2017. In 2019, he joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens as Principal Dancer.
