BBT Celebrates the Success of Our Dancers This Year!

This summer, Boca Ballet Theatre celebrates the success of students who competed in dance competitions during our 30th Season of Dance! Join us in congratulating Gabby Garbarini, Giselle Rubanchik, and Aurora Chinchilla for the following accomplishments.

BBT dancers Gabby Garbarini and Giselle Rubanchik placed in the top 3 of the NSAL Florida East Coast Chapter’s Local Ballet Competition in March of 2021!

In March of 2021, BBT was thrilled to host the NSAL Florida East Coast Chapter’s Local Ballet Competition! Dancers competed for cash prizes as well as the chance to take part in the NSAL’s National Dance Competition! Two of BBT’s own dancers placed in top spots for the local competition, Gabby Garbarini placing 1st while Giselle Rubanchik placed 3rd! This year’s judges included Clarence Brooks of FAU’s Department of Dance, Shimon Ito of Miami City Ballet, and Colleen Smith of Ballet Palm Beach. In June, Gabby and Giselle went on compete in the National Dance Competition, where Gabby won the Excellence in Contemporary Performance Award. Awesome work, ladies!

Aurora Chinchilla places in the top 35 of the 2021 Youth America Grand Pris in Tampa.

BBT dancer Aurora Chinchilla also celebrates an amazing achievement after competing for the first time in the Youth America Grand Pris in Tampa! Aurora was selected for the final round of the competition as one of the top 35 dancers, performing Giselle’s Act I variation and a captivating contemporary solo! We can’t wait to see what she accomplishes in the future! Congratulations, Aurora!

We are so proud of these ladies as well as all of our dancers who came to class and rehearsed this year during such challenging times! We are proud of your dedication, passion, and support of each other!
