BBT spotlights outstanding volunteer Anthony Yazzetti
In this month’s volunteer spotlight, we highlight an outstanding ambassador for Boca Ballet Theatre: Anthony Yazzetti! A longtime supporter of ballet, he has introduced numerous new patrons to BBT’s performances through his group ticket sales! But who is Anthony, and how did he become a member of the BBT family?
Prior to retiring to South Florida six years ago, Anthony lived in Manhattan for 40 years. With a background in sales and marketing, he’s worked for over three decades as a commercial real estate realtor and investor. During this time, he became a fan of ballet, serving as an active volunteer for American Ballet Theatre. ABT’s headquarters and rehearsal studios were only a 15-minute walk from his home!
After moving to South Florida, Anthony found Boca Ballet Theatre online while searching for a new company to support. After attending our performances, he decided to become a member of BBT’s Volunteer Guild. “The thing I most enjoy and find rewarding,” he says, “is selling group tickets (there's that sales and marketing guy). I must mention I have met so many wonderful people associated with BBT and that in itself is rewarding.”
We are so lucky to have a supporter like Anthony, who is eager to introduce new audience members to our company. His volunteer work helps us to achieve our mission to enrich and inspire our community with breathtaking performances featuring local dancers and professional guest artists! We’re grateful for his efforts to grow our audience and connect with more members of our community!
When asked what he’s most looking forward to this season, Anthony said, “I look forward to all Boca Ballet Theatre performances. All, without exception.” We are just as excited to raise the curtain on our 2023-2024 Season of Dance, which will feature a variety of classical and contemporary works sure to inspire!
