BBT to be Honored on the Boca Raton Walk of Recognition!

Boca Ballet Theatre will be honored on the Boca Raton Walk of Recognition!

This November, Boca Ballet Theatre will receive special recognition as a Walk of Recognition honoree! Walk of Recognition inductees must demonstrate a significant long-term commitment to serving the interest of Boca Raton and enriching the lives of its residents. Since its inception in 1997, honorees have received "stars" for this prestigious community award.

A cornerstone of the community and supporter of numerous organizations in the area, Marta Batmasian originally conceived of the award, which has become an annual community program organized and maintained by the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum. An independent panel of judges reviews each application and selects two or three outstanding community leaders. As one of those honorees this year, Boca Ballet Theatre will have its name carved into a black granite star and placed on the Walk of Recognition monument at Royal Palm Place!

This honor would not have been possible without the tireless effort and passionate dedication of BBT’s Co-Artistic Directors Dan Guin and Jane Tyree! Dan and Jane have brought a wealth of professional experience and a compelling vision for the future of dance to Boca Ballet Theatre, and under their leadership, the company has provided 30 years’ worth of professional performances, exceptional dance training, and effective outreach programming that has had an undeniable impact on the Boca Raton community. This honor is well-deserved, and we are so proud of our wonderful leaders!

While the details of this year’s induction ceremony are still fluid, rest assured that we will have updates as soon as decisions are made! You can also check the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum website for more information!
