We were thrilled to welcome former Miami City Ballet dancers Emily Bromberg and Rainer Krenstetter as our principal guest artists. These exceptional dancers showcased the breadth of their artistry in two pas de deux: August Bournonville’s lively and captivating Flower Festival at Genzano and George Balanchine’s elegant and romantic Diamonds. Long-time BBT guest artist and former Joffrey Ballet principal Lucas Segovia dazzled in Dan Guin’s jazzy romp From Me To You. BBT’s Shannon Smith and Amanda Sewell also charmed audiences with their delightful dancing as the Commandant and Head Mistress in Graduation Ball. BBT faculty member Toby Lewellen starred in the Pas De Six and Tarantella in Bournonville Suite and appeared as a dashing cadet in Graduation Ball.

Boca Ballet Theatre’s cast of dancers demonstrated the range of their talent in classical, character, and contemporary works—from Bournonville Suite’s light footwork to Graduation Ball’s charming antics. In Dan Guin’s In Deep, dancers also evoked sea creatures with fluid movement that captured the essence of the ocean floor.

We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to guest artist underwriters Harriet & Henry Pownall, who supported Emily and Rainer’s performances. We also want to thank all who attended Spring Menagerie! We look forward to taking the stage again for La Sylphide on July 27 and 28, 2024!
