Jane Tyree and Dan Guin Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at NSAL Star Maker Awards

On October 10th, 2021, Boca Ballet Theatre’s Co-Artistic Directors Jane Tyree and Dan Guin received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Society of Arts & Letters of Florida’s annual Star Maker Awards! This incredible event celebrated 40 years of NSAL and its support of emerging visual, performing, and literary artists. It was held at The Wick Theatre and Costume Museum in Boca Raton, where guests enjoyed performances by the Society’s talented National and Local scholarship and competition winners.

The night culminated with Jane and Dan’s prestigious award, which honors a lifetime of service in the performing arts community. “Boca Ballet Theatre’s contribution to the arts in South Florida is incomparable,” said event co-chair Shari Upbin. Over the past 30 years, Dan and Jane have built BBT into an exceptional civic dance company, presenting professional productions with world-class guest artists and providing incredible dance training and professionalization opportunities that have propelled many students into professional dance careers.
