Staff Spotlight: Who is Aly Tejas?

In this month’s staff spotlight, we highlight Boca Ballet Theatre’s Aly Tejas! A longtime lover of music and dance, Aly brings her expertise to BBT as an accompanist! But who is Aly, and how did she become a member of the BBT family?

As a child, Aly studied piano at Raúl Gómez García School of the Arts in Holguín, Cuba. At the age of fifteen, she accompanied her first ballet class and fell in love with classical ballet. Aly went on to accompany the Alicia Alonso Ballet Company and performed in many international competitions and events. At twenty years old, she came to the United States, where she accompanied ballet legend Martha Mahr. Since then, she has played for New World School of the Arts, the Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Juilliard School, the Arts Ballet Theatre, and more! She’s recorded 10 ballet class albums, which have sold and been streamed worldwide!
