BBT Extends Spring Semester and Looks Forward to Summer Performance Workshops
In following with the local school district’s schedule, Boca Ballet Theatre has decided to extend its spring semester by three weeks rather than host its originally planned “Young Dancer Mini Summer Intensive Workshops” in June. We will have a week-long break from classes from June 21 to 27 before commencing our summer performance workshops. Registration for Open Adult Classes is now open for June.

Open Adult Classes
BBT will have ballet and jazz dance classes available in the mornings and evenings during June and July. Open Adult Classes are tailored to the specific interests of adults, from beginners to the more advanced. There are no age or experience restrictions for our open classes, and we encourage all who are interested in learning about dance to register! Registration for June is now open, so sign up today! More information about class options and June’s schedule are available here!
Intermediate Summer Performance Workshop
There are a few spots remaining in BBT’s Intermediate Summer Performance Workshop! Qualified students who participate in this 4-week-long workshop will take classes in ballet technique, pointe, variations, jazz, character, modern, and Pilates. Students will also participate in dance enrichment sessions as well as perform in BBT’s mixed repertory concert Resurgence, which will feature professional guest artists.
Students may also choose to participate in one of BBT’s week-long intermediate workshops, though these dancers will not be able to perform in Resurgence.
Week 1 of the Intermediate Summer Performance Workshop will begin on July 5th. More information about the workshop and how to audition remotely is available here!
Advanced Summer Performance Workshop
BBT’s Advanced Summer Performance Workshop will commence on June 28th with guest artistic director Kevin Irving of Oregon Ballet Theatre. This five-week-long workshop will also feature guest artistic directors Lourdes Lopez of Miami City Ballet (Week 2), Adam Sklute of Ballet West (Week 3), and Julie Kent of The Washington Ballet (Week 4). The workshop will culminate with BBT’s mixed repertory concert Resurgence, which will feature professional guest artists.
While this workshop has reached its maximum capacity for this year, we encourage you to follow us on social media for updates on auditions for our 2022 Summer Performance Workshops! More information is available here!
