It’s not too late to purchase tickets to Boca Ballet Theatre’s Affair en Blanc, set to take place on Sunday, April 25th at 5:30 PM! Guests of this spring fundraising event will enjoy a socially-distanced picnic under the stars in support of BBT’s upcoming production of Swan Lake. Keeping with an all-white theme, Affair en Blanc invites guests to dress in white Parisian-inspired fashion, decorate their own tables with fun and creative table settings, and enjoy food and drink in a fun, festive, and—most importantly—safe outdoor environment! The secret location will be announced on the day of the event!

After being in isolation for so long, we are looking forward to hosting a safe, socially-distanced event that brings the BBT family back together! Learn more about this event below and reserve your tickets today! Event chaired by Julianna Miron.

About Affair en Blanc

Before the event:

  • RSVP to reserve your tickets.

  • Tables and chairs: Seating can be rented through preorder when you purchase your tickets prior to the event. This rented seating will be waiting for you at the event site on the day of the event. However, guests are welcome to bring their own tables and chairs if they would like!

  • Food and drink: Sealed Parisian-inspired picnic boxes are available for preorder when you purchase your tickets online. These picnic boxes will come in neat, COVID-friendly packaging. We will also have beer, wine, and champagne available for a suggested donation at the event site! It will be sold in closed bottles only (no single glasses) to make it COVID-friendly. Guests are of course allowed to bring their own food and drink if they would prefer!

  • Tablescape: Guests will decorate their tables with table settings of their own design, so start to gather the silverware, plates, serving ware, glasses, and other table accessories you’d like to decorate your table with! We will have a competition and prizes for the best table setting! There is ambient lighting at the venue, but you will be responsible for lighting your own tables as you like. There is no electricity on-site, so you will need to bring candles/battery operated lights. After you gather your table decor, bring it with you to decorate your table on the day of the event!

Day of the event:

  • Location and time: Our location will be revealed at 2 PM on the day of the event! The location will be posted on our website, Facebook page, and emailed/texted to all attendees. It will be an open land location, so we have lots of room for social distancing of the tables. Hint: the secret location is less than 8 miles from Boca Ballet Theatre!

  • Couture: Get dressed up in all-white attire! Elegant, comfy, or quirky fashion and accessories are welcome! Express your own appreciation for style, beauty, and fun! We will have prizes for the best dressed costume and most unique tablescape!

  • Setting up: When you arrive, staff will direct you to where you may set up your table. Our event starts officially at 5:30 PM. If you need extra time to setup your extravagant tablescape, you may arrive as early as 4:30 PM. Don’t forget to bring your table decor and place settings with you to the event site!

  • Food and drink: If you decide to provide your own food and drink, be sure to bring it with you to the event site. Guests who pre-order picnic boxes online will receive their food on site. We will also have beer, wine, and champagne available for a suggested donation at the event! It will be sold in closed bottles only (no single glasses) to make it COVID-friendly.

  • Leave no trace: Part of the magic of this event is that it gathers so many friends yet leaves no trace at the end of the evening. All parties must dispose of any waste they generate into the trash bins on-site at the end of the evening.
