BBT to Welcome Ballet Superstars to Stars of Dance Gala!
On January 15, 2023, Boca Ballet Theatre will host an evening with ballet’s brightest stars at Baptist Health presents BBT’s “Stars of Dance Gala” Performance and Dinner! Don’t miss your chance to see performances by dancers from American Ballet Theatre, Philadelphia Ballet, and more live in Boca Raton. The gala will begin at 3:00 PM at FAU’s University Theatre with featured performances by American Ballet Theatre principals Aran Bell, Isabella Boylston, Catherine Hurlin, Cory Stearns, Devon Teuscher, James Whiteside, Roman Zhurbin, and soloist Chloe Misseldine! These award-winning dancers have performed for audiences around the world, appearing in leading roles by celebrated choreographers like Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, Alonzo King, Gemma Bond, George Balanchine, and more!
Philadelphia Ballet’s Sterling Baca and Oksana Maslova will perform an excerpt from BBT’s upcoming production of Giselle, giving audiences a taste of the magic to come this spring! Sterling last dazzled BBT’s audience with his performance at “A Princely Affair” Performance and Luncheon in 2019, and we are thrilled to welcome Oksana to the BBT stage for the first time!
The performance will also feature a special appearance by long-time BBT guest artist and former Joffrey Ballet principal Lucas Segovia. Throughout his career, Lucas has danced in more than 350 cities around the globe, so we can’t wait to welcome him back to Boca this January! Finally, Boca Ballet Theatre’s cast of dancers will perform beloved repertory work “Bubblin’ Over.”
