BBT4PD Celebrates 10th Season with New Team Members!
BBT4PD, or Dance for those living with Parkinson’s disease, is celebrating its 10th season with some amazing new team members! Program director Cindy Surman is now joined by BBT’s Ines Lopez, who has received training from Dance for PD! These fabulous teachers get participants moving, stretching, and laughing in our biweekly classes, which are open to anyone with Parkinson’s, no matter their age, ability, or the advancement of their condition!
This year, we’re thrilled to welcome new assistants Karen Wexler and Amanda Sewell to BBT4PD. These assistants bring their hearts and souls to each class with their service and support! New volunteer assistants Judi Steinhardt, Judie Stewart, and Liz Dudley also provide extra hands, smiles, and hugs to participants during class!
New accompanist Aly Tejas brings the joy of live music to BBT4PD’s classes, adapting the tempo and quality of music to fit each combination of movement! In addition to playing for world-renowned companies like Boston Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, American Ballet Theatre, and the Juilliard School, Aly has 10 ballet class CDs that have been sold and streamed around the world! We are so lucky to have her on staff for BBT4PD!
Boca Ballet Theatre is very proud of this outreach program and of the passionate artists and generous community members who support its mission! BBT4PD currently enjoys sponsorship from the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation and Mike and Lisa Kelleher Foundation.
