Junior League of Boca Raton to Celebrate Women Volunteers this November

Each year, the Junior League of Boca Raton celebrates outstanding women volunteers in our community at the Woman Volunteer of the Year Luncheon. This year’s luncheon is set to take place on November 12th, 2021, at The Boca Raton. Boca Ballet Theatre’s 2021 selection for Woman Volunteer of the Year is Andrea Virgin, longtime member of the BBT family.

Andrea began as a student at Boca Ballet Theatre before returning to become a member of our Board of Directors. Over the years, Andrea has distinguished herself as an advocate for BBT and its mission, volunteering her time and exceptional leadership skills to secure in-kind donations, chair many of our events and fundraisers, and cultivate long-lasting relationships with our many generous patrons. In 2018, she chaired the creation of the “I Move” fundraising video, including its in-kind donation from OGK Creative. In the spring of 2021, she secured the in-kind donation of the event space used for our 2021 “Affair En Blanc” fundraising event, which was held at Boca Raton Airport’s Signature Flight Support.

These are of course just a few of Andrea’s many contributions to Boca Ballet Theatre over the years; however, her dedication to the arts is not limited to our company alone. As President of the Board of Directors for the Boca Raton Center for Arts & Innovation, Andrea is leading the way in building an iconic cultural infrastructure to support the local arts organizations like BBT, thus securing Boca Raton as a beacon for art and culture.
