BBT Cordially Invites You To "Affair En Blanc"

This year, Boca Ballet Theatre is thrilled to host “Affair en Blanc” on Sunday, April 11th at 5:30 PM with Event Chair Julianna Miron! Guests of this outdoor event will enjoy a socially-distanced picnic under the stars! Guests may bring their own picnic to match their fabulous tablescape or preorder sealed Parisian-inspired picnic boxes. We will also have wine, beer, and champagne available for a suggested donation at the event. “Affair en Blanc” serves as a fundraiser for BBT’s upcoming performance of Swan Lake, and guests will have the opportunity to meet some lovely white swans from the show!

This pop-up party has a few key details you need to know. First, the location is a secret! The event will take place in Delray Beach and guests will receive the address at 2 PM on the day of the event. We encourage all guests to dress in white Parisian-inspired fashion. The more accessories and elaborate costuming, the better! You can learn more details in the “About” section below.

Guests of “Affair en Blanc” can expect a fun, festive, and—most importantly—safe outdoor party that will set the stage for our highly anticipated performance of the timeless ballet classic, Swan Lake! We hope you’ll join us in what is sure to be a magical evening!

Before the event:

  • RSVP to reserve your tickets.

We will have a competition and prizes for the best table setting! There is ambient lighting at the venue, but you will be responsible for lighting your own tables as you like. There is no electricity on-site, so you will need to bring candles/battery operated lights. After you gather your table decor, bring it with you to decorate your table on the day of the event!

Day of the event:

  • Location and time: Our location will be revealed at 2 PM on the day of the event! The location will be posted on our website, Facebook page, and emailed/texted to all attendees. It will be an open land location, so we have lots of room for social distancing of the tables. Hint: the secret location is less than 8 miles from Boca Ballet Theatre!

  • Couture: Get dressed up in all-white attire! Elegant, comfy, or quirky fashion and accessories are welcome! Express your own appreciation for style, beauty, and fun! We will have prizes for the best dressed costume and most unique tablescape!

  • Setting up: When you arrive, staff will direct you to where you may set up your table. Our event starts officially at 5:30 PM. If you need extra time to setup your extravagant tablescape, you may arrive as early as 4:30 PM. Don’t forget to bring your table decor and place settings with you to the event site!

  • Food and drink: If you decide to provide your own food and drink, be sure to bring it with you to the event site. Guests who pre-order picnic boxes online will receive their food on site. We will also have beer, wine, and champagne available for a suggested donation at the event! It will be sold in closed bottles only (no single glasses) to make it COVID-friendly.

  • Leave no trace: Part of the magic of this event is that it gathers so many friends yet leaves no trace at the end of the evening. All parties must dispose of any waste they generate into the trash bins on-site at the end of the evening.
