Youth Summer Workshops
In addition to our Advanced Summer Performance Workshop, BBT will offer a variety of workshops for students from Ballet Levels 1 to 6.
Workshop A
June 6–June 17, 2022 | Monday–Friday 10–3 PM
A 2-week summer workshop for students currently enrolled in Ballet 1or 2. Classes are designed for artistic development and there are enriching ballet related activities throughout the day. This workshop is a wonderful balance between learning and fun!
Workshop B
June 6–June 24, 2022 | Monday–Friday 10–3 PM
A 3-week summer workshop for students currently enrolled in Ballet 3 or 4. Classes are designed for artistic development and there are enriching ballet related activities throughout the day. This workshop is a wonderful balance between learning and fun!
Workshop C
June 13–June 17, 2022 | Monday–Friday 10:30–5 PM
Train with wonderful guest teachers as well as resident faculty in ballet technique, pointe, jazz, and more! Students will be trained in all areas of dance and artistry. It is highly encouraged that all Ballet 5 and Ballet 6 students attend!
Advanced Summer Performance Workshop
June 27–July 31, 2022
BBT’s Summer Performance Workshops have earned a reputation for being the most thorough and rewarding dance experience a student can have during the summer, and many use it as a launching pad for a professional career in dance. This year’s visiting guest artistic directors include James Sofranko of Grand Rapids Ballet (Week 1), Robert Curran of Louisville Ballet (Week 2), Devon Carney of Kansas City Ballet (Week 3), and Stephen Mills of Ballet Austin (Week 4). Artistic Directors will use classes as an audition for Trainee, Apprentice, 2nd Company or Company positions!

Dancers will take classes in ballet technique, pointe technique, variations, jazz, modern, Pilates, and hip-hop. In class, dancers will have the opportunity to audition for visiting Artistic Directors as well as ask questions during the “Meet the Director” lecture series. Learn what it is to be a member of a corps de ballet while dancing with some of the finest professional dancers in the world! The Summer Performance Workshop will culminate in a full-length production of The Sleeping Beauty on July 30th and July 31st.

Intermediate Summer Performance Workshop
July 5–July 31, 2022
Open to Boca Ballet Theatre students in Ballet 6 & up, and qualified students not enrolled in BBT.
Admitted students will take classes in ballet technique, pointe, and variation with either jazz, character, modern, or pilates classes taught by both resident and guest faculty. Dance enrichment sessions will include question-and-answer sessions with professional dancers, technical theater production, video critique of historic ballet performances, and discussions of dance careers.
Minimum Age 12 (1+ Years Pointe Required)
All students, both those enrolled & not enrolled in the School of BBT must audition
Students taking all 4 weeks of the workshop will perform in The Sleeping Beauty
Weekly students will not perform in The Sleeping Beauty
