Looking Ahead to this Spring's Swan Lake!
With winter coming to a close, we at Boca Ballet Theatre are looking ahead to the exciting events that this spring has in store! On Mother’s Day weekend, May 8th and 9th, 2021, we will raise the curtain on one of most beloved stories in ballet history: Swan Lake.
Suffused with magic, tragedy, and romance, this ballet follows the beautiful Odette, a princess cursed by the sorcerer Rothbart to turn into a swan. When the dashing Prince Siegfried falls in love with her, the two must work to overcome Rothbart’s evil influence in order for their love to triumph.
While we hope to present this ballet both live in the theater and virtually, our plans are fluid as we continue to monitor the pandemic. We will of course update you all as we get closer to the performance. You won’t want to miss this timeless and stunning production!
Spring Underwriting Event
Another special occasion we have to look forward to this spring is our underwriting event for Swan Lake! Keeping in mind social distancing recommendations, we have some creative ideas for how to safely hold our annual fundraiser. We are hoping to host a black and white swan picnic where guests can dress in our black and white theme, decorate their own tables in a fun table-setting contest, and bring their own hors d'oeuvres and drinks to enjoy! We look forward to sharing more details as we get closer to May!
